Social Media Management

I’ve had the privilege of managing social media for a variety of freelance clients as well as in-house clients. While working at my past two agencies I was also able to plan content calendars and implement strategy to increase engagement and overall followers. I found my passion for this work in my senior year of college when I was selected to be the capstone team lead and facilitated a targeted social media campaign to increase volunteers for Meals on Wheels of San Diego during the pandemic when volunteers were needed most.

Now I work primarily with freelance clients in the running and fitness industry, relationships formed through many shared miles with great people from our community.

The team at Ascension Performance reached out initially with hopes of improving their social media, but after discussion decided to move forward with more brand strategy and public relations tactics to increase client base with social media growth as a secondary focus. Following this decision I created an event calendar and facilitated connections between the client and local sports teams and events to increase community connections and allow Ascension to promote their work face-to-face. Additionally I have pitched local professional athletes and sports teams to create in-clinic opportunities. Our biggest win was securing a contract with major UFC fighters and placement in an upcoming Amazon Prime documentary.

Lane Zero Athletics Club is a passion project I was able to jump into and have seen great reward in creating content, securing news placements, and promoting elite athlete development in San Diego. The goal for this client is to encourage new post-collegiate athletes around San Diego to reach out, while promoting an existing team of incredibly talented runners. We focus on securing content and with a new rebrand underway, I have facilitated contact with graphic designers, photographers, and been tasked with building the website. While y primary experience is in SquareSpace and Wordpress, I am always growing my skillset and enjoy playing with other platforms to expand my knowledge.

I have worked with the San Diego branch of United States Track and Field to create content highlighting local events as well as managing a content calendar to ensure local athletes are recognized for their wins and hard efforts. I also work with USATFSD and various local race directors to secure presence of teams at competitive races in the local road series, reaching out for discount codes, dates, and other information.
